OUR MISSION

FMA aims to connect students with the people, skills, and experiences that can help them pursue a variety of careers within the finance industry. Through meetings, hands-on workshops, recruiting events, and company visits, FMA gives members opportunities to learn about the industry, build practical skills, and develop meaningful connections with professionals and fellow students.

MEETINGS & WORKSHOPS

Our general meetings give students the opportunity to explore a variety of careers and topics within finance. We also host hands-on workshops developing practical skills, including sessions on tools such as Bloomberg Terminals and other resources used throughout the finance industry.

RECRUITING EVENTS

FMA hosts recruiting events that give students the opportunity to connect directly with companies and learn more about potential career paths, internships, and full-time opportunities. These events allow employers to introduce their firms while giving students a chance to ask questions, build connections, and better understand the opportunities available within the finance industry.

PROFESSIONAL TRIPS

FMA gives members the opportunity to experience the finance industry firsthand through company visits and professional trips. Each year, members travel to a major city within Texas during the fall and spring semesters, in addition to a winter trip to New York City.

SOCIALS

FMA hosts social events throughout the semester to give members opportunities to connect outside of professional meetings. Activities such as bowling, mini-golf, and other group outings provide a relaxed setting to build friendships and get to know other students with similar interests.
